{{oh, um, forgot about that bit in the movie. i watched that movie a lot when i was little, but i've seem to have forgotten that bit...}}

Minato heard Valentina's call to follow her, so she followed after her, flicking her tail to signal that Omen and Kussa should follow. She ran with Valentina until they were far away enough so that this thing would've get them, but was still visible.

"Valentina, I think you said something about a book of monsters that you never could get to reading because of that thing that's chasing us. I think now's the good time to open that up and look at the info for this thing. Minato told Valentina.

She went on to say "The thing looked like a mix between a shrub and a bat. It had one giant eye in the center, and huge sharp claws. It also had sharp teeth and it's veins were exploded and all over it's body."

(The last time I watched that movie was like years ago as well. It was a good movie. XD.)

The werewolf puppy glanced back towards the older animal. "Kussa has the book," she explained. "Not me. It belongs to her. But you're right. Now would be a good time to open it. I'll keep an eye on the creature to make sure it doesn't get too close to us."

To this, Kussa paused, giving a nod in agreement. Now would be a good time to get out her book. She reached into her bag and pulled out a small brown book. On the cover of it were odd markings and symbols and words. The kitten began flipping through her book, looking for the creature that was after them.

"Okay, Kussa, after you get the info on this thing, we run for our lives okay?" Minato called out to Kussa.

She was still far away from Kussa when she said that. Maybe she wouldn't hear her because she's too far away.

As the creature threatened Kussa and Omen, Minato kept shouting things to the two of them.

"Omen, try clawing it in its face while Kussa looks up this thing! That way, we can escape while it's helpless!"

Minato then prayed silently that Omen heard her.

The other black cat shot the older one a glare, amber eyes narrowed. Who the hell did she think she was trying to give him orders like that? He could care less about what happened to the white she-cat by his side. It didn't matter to him if she got herself hurt or killed thanks to the creature. Or any of the others for that matter. But a small part of Omen knew that things would end badly if he didn't. So he grumbled under his breath before he jumped at the hybrid, claws out and attempted a slash at its face.

Kussa moved back, giving the older cat room to fight off the monster. She flipped through her book as quickly as she could, trying to find what she could on it. Soon enough, she perked up with a wide smile on her face.

"I got it!"

Minato saw Omen was glaring at her. Was it because of something she said? Eh, it was probably nothing.

Meanwhile, Kussa looked like she had found the info on this creature. She was looking perked up for the first time Minato could remember since the four animals got up.

So Minato raced over to where Kussa was, and perched herself to her left. There she leaned in to read with Kussa.

"You two might want to hurry it up!" Omen hissed to the two female cats as he leaped out of the way of the hybrid taking a blind swipe at him. "Before this thing can see again!"


"It's called a shrubat..." the white-furred feline began, scanning over the page in her family's book. "It eats meat too from the look of it. But also fruits sometimes too thanks to being part bat. Mostly meat... Is there any way to defeat it and put it to spiritual sleep?"

"A Shrubat... It eats meat but sometimes fruit... No, I do not know how to get rid of this thing." Minato told Kussa.

This thing ate meat... Wait. The three cats (Minato, Kussa, and Omen) and dog (Valentina) were meat. So that means they would probably be food if they didn't do something. "We should probably find what we can to fight it off! Maybe we can beat it!" Minato told the others.

"If we can keep the thing blinded for a good few minutes, that should give us time to escape," Kussa replied, turning her gaze to Omen, who jumped and slashed at the creature again with his claws. Valentina had joined in to aid the black cat in fighting it off. "Omen! Valentina! Claw as its eyes! If you can blind it, we can get away!"

The two glanced back at the white feline for a moment, before going to strike at the beast's eyes with their claws.

Minato jumped in and clawed furiously at this thing's eyes. She didn't stop clawing until the thing's right eye was completely clawed out. However, the thing soon noticed this and began clawing at Minato. She received several very bad scratches all over her, but she wouldn't let back down.

She continued scratching until the thing's left eye was out. She then attacked it's wings. It let out a roar and tried to shake Minato off.

Valetina sprang forward and bit down on the hybrid as hard as she could, trying to get its attention away from the black she-cat. Kussa put her book away and raced in to help them. She slid under the creature and ranked her claws down its underbelly.

The fight went on for a very long time. Finally, the creature let out one final cry and fell to the ground, dead.

Minato and the others ran as far away from the body as they could, which wasn't very far because of their poor condition.

"Phew... We got rid of that one, st least. Who knows how many of these things are waiting to kill us... Minato said. She laid herself down on the grass.

The other three laid down on the ground, panting. They had done it. Maybe they went a little overboard with killing it, but at least all of them had escaped. Hurt and batter sure, but all four of them were alive.


"Let's not stick around and find out. We'll rest for a bit then continue on. Staying in one place is bond to get us killed."

Minato nodded and ran off. She didn't notice that there was another creature staring at them from far off. This creature looked like a giraffe, except it had the head of a bat and also had bird wings. It's legs were also very stubby, like a pig. It's scaly skin was dark red , perhaps dried blood. And it looked really menacing. Minato called for the others to follow her.

The white kitten pushed herself to her paws and hurried after the older cat. Omen grumbled, but he followed shortly after the two other felines. Valentina wasn't too far behind the cats as she raced along after her friends. Either of them noticed the creature that was watching them as they all took off.

Minato ran with the other cats (and dog) to an empty field. They also didn't know that this new creature was following them as well.

She soon became aware that something was watching them. She looked to her left and saw the thing watching the animals.

"What in the..." was all she could say. This thing creeped her out. She slowly started backing up.

The three friends gave a sigh of relief once they reached the field. But they couldn't stay here for long. It was too open. Anything could come at them. But they'd be able to see it coming too and be able to escape. At Minato's words the three looked over at her and saw her backing away from something. They followed to where she was looking at and saw the creature that had been tailing them.

"Fox dung! We're not getting a break today, are we?"

"I don't think we'll be getting a break anytime soon..." Minato told Kussa.

She started clawing at this thing's face. However, it mysteriously split itself into two, both exact carbon copies of the original. Then they split into four, then eight, then...You know.

All of them ganged up on the animals. The animals were scared. They didn't know what to do.

There were so many of them now that the creature had split into so many different copies of itself. They surrounded the small group of friends. What were they going to do to escape?

Minato and the others didn't know what to do. There was no escape for them this time. The thing's closed in on them...

And they ripped apart everyone's hopes to escape. Even when they tried to fight back, the thing's only multiplied more.

Pretty soon there were 2048 of them. "...we done messed up." Minato mumbled sadly.

"There must be something we can do.... We can't just give up like this..."


"Why don't you use that book of yours and check?" Omen growled.

Valentina gave a low snarl as the creatures just kept coming, no matter what they did, before she glanced back at her friends. "That would be wise," she said. "So we can figure out how to stop them."

Luckily for them, a ball of purple flame shot out of the darkness at the odd creatures, landing in front of them. It was enough to force the creatures back some. A small black cat with purple wings and ghostly looking fire around her paws and tail floated there. Beside the timid looking ghost cat, was an all white dog with a top hat red bow-tie and black cape with red eyes.

"Looks like you lot are in trouble," the dog said. "Don't you know you can't get rid of those creatures like that?"

(Say hello to two new characters of mine. Spiri the ghost cat and Ciro the vampire dog.

"Wh-what the?! Impossible!" Minato said when she saw the two new animals swoop down to save them.

Meanwhile, another cat was racing down the hill to save them. This cat had long blue fur with greenish eyes.

"Hang on! I can save you bunch!" she said.

Minato looked up to see where that voice was coming from. She was delighted to see another cat rush over to the swarm of creatures.

"Who are you?" Kussa asked the three newcomers.

"Name's Ciro," the vampire dog answered. "The black cat beside me is Spiri. The blue cat? That's Yumi."

"Yeah! I'm the best! Hahaha!" Yumi was already tearing one of the beasts (number #679, she said) to shreds with her claws. She always boasted that she was one of the best cats around.

Minato soon caught wind of her new teammate's fighting spirit, and went all out against beast number #47. The thing started screeching at her as furiously as it could, but it was too defenseless to handle her scratching. "Yeah!! Take that, you little pest!" she said. The thing soon fell over dead.

With the three newcomers helping them fight off the creatures, the group fought on with all their might. Spiri blasted a ball of purple colored fire at a row of the beats and Ciro used his electricity to zap more. Kussa, Omen, and Valentina fought with their claws and teeth. More and more of the monsters were falling thanks to their team work. But there was still a lot left over. Would they be able to get rid of them all? Or find an opening to get away?

Minato soon tore down numbers #57, #983, #20, and #5. She managed to get a lot of blood on her face and fur while doing so, but she was taking them down nonetheless. She also blinded #93 and number #2 while the others managed to kill them.

Yumi also clawed her way through numbers #53, #486, #1845, and #80. "Gah! There are a lot of these things, but I'm working hard to get rid of them!" she said. She was soon tearing through #34 and #9 so that the others could kill them. She was also very fast.
